TEACHERS NEEDED for Spanish Read Aloud Guides

TEACHERS, we need your help!  Books del Sur is building a bilingual cadre of teachers to help create teacher guides in Spanish for our print and digital Read Aloud Collections.

Unlike most educational companies, Books del Sur was founded by a teacher that was raised by teachers. So, when it comes to creating resources for teachers we want to hear from the users and people in schools working with students. In addition, this is an opportunity for teachers to learn about high-quality authentic materials in Spanish, to collaborate with other teachers, and build something organic and very, very much needed!

We are concentrating on K-6 teachers and would like a good cross-section from across the United States. Our hope is to get as many unique and diverse Spanish language and cultural perspectives as possible. The application can be found here: https://forms.gle/PxpWAWcAFJNHkpAm9

We will select team members and inform you of your participation by June 26, 2020.

If you agree to consult on this project you will be asked to:
1. Read 6-10 books.
2. Suggest questions and teaching points for the beginning, middle, and end of the book.
3. Complete a 3 step read aloud virtual professional development and meet with a grade level for 1 hour on one day between July 8 - July 16.
4. Meet with your partner for 2-4 hours to share and agree upon the questions and teaching points for each book during the scheduled work times between July 8 - July 16.
5. Your compensation will be the books you reviewed. Plus, we will also raffle off gift cards and more books during our meetings.
