A girl finds a small spider under her cat's food bowl, and after staring at each other for a moment, they both run away, scared, each to their own. Each thinks the other is a horrible monster. And although the respective mothers assure them that one and the other are just little and harmless girls who are not to be feared, they do not seem to be convinced.

"This is a great book to teach about respecting animals and nature. It is also good to teach about perspective and how things can be seen differently depending on who is looking at them."
