Se dice en la isla de Chiloé que si escuchas a un chucao cantando a tu izquierda es mala suerte y más vale quedarse en casa, y si lo escuchas cantando a tu derecha, es un augurio de buena suerte y puedes continuar tu camino. Mary Willson es una científica de Alaska, que pasó más de 15 años estudiando a los chucaos. En este libro nos cuenta parte de sus investigaciones, invitándonos a conocer y proteger al chucao.
It is said on the island of Chiloé that if you listen to a chucao singing to your left it is bad luck and it is better to stay at home, and if you listen to it singing to your right, it is an omen of good luck and you can continue on your way.
