El gorrioncito

El gorrioncito Púdik no había probado volar pero ya quería conocer el mundo y se asomaba peligrosamente al borde del nido. Su madre le advertía el peligro de caer y ser atrapado por el gato. Una tarde cayó y se vio frente al gato que ya se relamía de gusto, pero la madre llegó a su lado y lo defendió, a costa de algunas de sus plumas. «Nadie nace sabiendo», dijo el gorrioncito que, del susto, había volado.

The little sparrow Púdik had not tried to fly but he already wanted to see the world and perilously leaned over the edge of the nest. His mother warned him of the danger of falling and being caught by the cat. One afternoon he fell and found himself in front of the cat who was already licking his lips with pleasure, but the mother came to his side and defended him, at the cost of some of his feathers. "No one is born knowing," said the little sparrow that, frightened, had flown away.
