Los hermanos Manu y Portugal salen y cruzan el Atlántico en busca de una vida mejor en el Nuevo Mundo, ya que han sufrido los estragos de la peste y la pobreza. Brothers Manu and Portugal go out and cross the Atlantic in search of a better life in the New World, as they have suffered the ravages of plague and poverty. Meanwhile, in an African village, a family is captured by slave traders and shipped as merchandise to the United States. Their lives, and those of the natives, will intersect in Brazil, where the cultures of the three continents begin to mix.
