Sopa de Frijoles / Bean Soup

Esta deliciosa receta en forma de poema nos muestra a todos, jóvenes y viejos, cómo hacer una sopa de frijoles conmovedora y llena de barriga, desde reunir frijoles, cebollas y ajo hasta dejarlos nadar en la olla hasta que la casa huela de maravilla y es hora de cena. Un niño pequeño ayuda a su madre a preparar una sopa que toda la familia disfrutará usando ingredientes de la Madre Tierra. Las cebollas son "amarillas como el amanecer", los frijoles son como estrellas esparcidas en el "cielo de la mesa" y el agua en la olla es "tan profunda como un pequeño lago". This delicious poem-shaped recipe shows us all, young and old, how to make a heartwarming, tummy-filled bean soup, from gathering beans, onions, and garlic to letting them swim in the pot until the house smells great and is dinner time. A little boy helps his mother make a soup that the whole family will enjoy using ingredients from Mother Earth. The onions are "yellow as sunrise", the beans are like stars scattered in the "table sky" and the water in the pot is "as deep as a small lake." While the soup is cooking, the child buries the kitchen scraps under a tree in the yard "so that Mother Earth continues to grow flavors.
