El zorro, el más inteligente, recorre la cordillera de los Andes, desde el norte hacia el sur, buscando alguien contra quien competir y demostrar sus habilidades. Primero desafía a la vizcacha, luego se encuentra con el cóndor y finalmente con el sapo.

The fox, a clever better, travels through the Andes Mountains from the North to the South looking for others with whom to compete and showcase his skills. Along the way, he challenges a vizcacha (a relative of the chinchilla), a condor, and finally a toad.
